“a thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices”
Each year the holiday season arrives with a rush and a bustle that leaves many of us exhausted and worn. We’re bombarded by the worries of the giving and getting and feel frustrated by the commercialism of Christ’s birth. We long for our children to experience the reality of Jesus’ birth. We desire our own hearts to once again feel a thrill of hope at the birth of our Savior.
We invite you to join us on the four Sundays of Advent, as we purpose to set aside time to once again embrace the “holy tide of Christmas.” Beginning November 27th at 5 pm, these special evening services will include a meal, devotional reading, and Christmas carols. As we did last year, we’ll be using the She Reads Truth Advent resources and encourage you to follow along with the 4-week online daily devotional series which also begins on November 27th:
Join us this Advent season as we celebrate the nearness of our God, who stepped out of eternity and into time to interact with us. God sent a baby, His Son, to be our perfect Prophet, Priest, and King—to bring us salvation so that we might know Him. In Jesus Christ, our Prophet became the message, our Priest became the sacrifice, and our King became the servant of all. Christ was born for this!
