Summer Events, VBS

Vacation Bible School

It’s that time of year again!

The wonderful week where Port Clyde Christian Church is transformed into a swirl of youthful activity. This year, we’ll be transported to the world of knights and heralds, kings and queens, as we learn about how God is our mighty fortress and that Jesus has won the victory for us!

July 10th to 14th from 9 am to noon, each day we’ll be opening our doors to children from kindergarten to 5th grade. There will be songs, crafts, Bible stories, games, snacks, and more! The puppet team Serving H.I.M. (Hands in Ministry) will be here once again to entertain and teach us. This outstanding puppet troupe is always a highlight of the week for kids and grown ups alike!

On Friday, we invite friends and families to join us for the closing session at 11:40 am and to stay afterward for a picnic on the lawn. Then on Saturday, all youth group and VBS children are invited to hop aboard our float for the St. George Days parade. Last year our float won 1st prize and is a wonderful way to wrap up a fun-filled and exciting week!

Community, Summer Events

Summer Events – Updated

Summer is a busy time in Port Clyde, America! We’re always happy to welcome new visitors, as well as the friends who return each summer.

Our service times will remain the same during the summer: Sunday School at 9 am and Worship at 10 am. Our Adult Sunday School class is working their way through the book of Psalms. Our Children’s Sunday School will be starting a new series beginning on June 11th. And a new sermon series on 1 Peter will begin on June 25th.

Sunday Cookouts

On the first Sunday of the summer months (except for August), we will have a potluck/cookout following the worship service. PCCC will provide hamburgers and hot dogs. Please bring a dish to share and enjoy this special time of fellowship!

Teen Challenge

A favorite event, each summer we welcome the New England Teen Challenge Men’s Choir to minister to us in testimony and song. Please join us for this special event to encourage and support the men who have found freedom from addiction through faith in Christ. Our August cookout will follow the worship service.

Sunday Night Sings

Join us for these special evenings of music! In cooperation with the Port Clyde Baptist Church we’ll have congregational singing, hymn requests, and special music. Sunday Night Sings begin at 6 pm.

Vacation Bible School
